Nicholas Godwin, M.S.

Nicholas Godwin is a Primary Therapist at Hillside Wellness Center. He earned a bachelor’s degree in pre-med  biology with a minor in chemistry from Holy Family University in 2022 and completed his Master of Science in  Clinical Counseling at Holy Family University in May 2026. Nicholas originally planned to attend medical school  to become a psychiatrist, but through his own therapeutic journey discovered a love for the day-to-day work of  therapy.

Nicholas offers a holistic therapeutic style grounded in the connection between physical and mental health,  supporting clients while also challenging them to grow. He works to foster a therapeutic space where clients  feel genuinely supported, especially those who may feel they have never truly had someone in their corner, and to provide a space free of judgment where clients feel safe to be their authentic selves. Regardless of  background, age, religion, or life experience, he strives to meet clients where they are with compassion,  understanding, and respect.

His therapeutic orientation is client-centered, grounded in the belief that each client is the expert of their own  lived experience, and he is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). While client-centered therapy and  CBT are two of his primary approaches, Nicholas draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities to tailor  sessions to each client’s unique needs, goals, and experiences. He believes therapy is not a one-size-fits-all  process and values adapting his approach to best support each person’s growth and healing.
